‘Lunch & Jazz’ from 1pm or ‘Just Jazz’ from 2pm
The Sarah Ellen Hughes Quartet makes a welcome return to Black Mountain Jazz on the Bank Holiday Sunday - 26th May, which meets at the Swan Hotel near Abergavenny’s bus station.
There is no need to be a member to come to Black Mountain Jazz and there is the option of having lunch (1pm) and then listening to the Quartet’s great programme at the inclusive price of £15 inclusive, or coming from 2pm for just the jazz (£10).
Sarah Ellen Hughes began her career with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. She has since established herself as a notable presence on the London jazz scene and beyond. Her many accolades include winning the 2010 International Jazz Singing Competition Jazz Voices, held in Lithuania.
Sarah’s first album was Darning the Dream, released in 2010 to critical acclaim. She has appeared in most of the UK’s top jazz venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, 606 Club and Pizza on the Park.
